The only problems I had with the OST as a whole was during cutscenes (NLA day music is getting old too) and the fact you can't switch off Skell flight music back to the music from the area you're in. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have lyrical music playing in the background and make it audibly louder than the characters conversation needs to be shot. Your immersion is ruined in an already barebones story and plot.
I love this game and a lot of what it does, but it really is "dropped the ball here" the game.

I'm not the most knowledgeable about this series, but from what I've seen the aliens that have a beef with them are easily identifiable when compared to the others. The new aliens they find really have done nothing to antagonize anyone, but for some reason a lot of the humans want to take them out back and shoot them for the lols. It's really silly.

I'm only like 8 hours in, just became a full-time blade and just started doing missions on the field, so I suppose maybe it's because it's just starting out.
To be honest the ranting is mostly due to frustration at not knowing what the hell I'm doing, straining my eyes to read the text in this game, and the fact that the combat isn't as enjoyable as I hoped it'd be. I'm still going at it and I'll keep giving it a shot, but maybe this game just isn't for me.

This is easily one of the best augments you can have for your ranged weapons during the course of the game and I would consider investing in this first if you have an abundance of reward tickets. This greatly benefits Assault Rifle/Gatling Gun users.

Yes. A human woman is trying to make tons of money off a cult by poisoning the water supply in a way that only affects Ma-non. As a result, Ma-non get very sick and nothing cures them. They go to the church for a miracle (some "holy" water) and are instantly healed. Due to this miracle, the Ma-non join the cult and the human chick gets more money/power etc.
There are several quests involving it culminating in her running away to Cauldros, revealing her "god" is just a disguised Definian and you kill everyone. The whole time, there is a Doctor Ma-non who is extremely skeptical of this "god" and flaunts that and his "logic" in everyone's faces while pretending it's just because he cares about his patients. He never lets go of trying to prove he's right and won't let anyone forget, either.

I can understand that I guess. I suppose my dislike stems from how many Nopon expect a free ride in NLA, while thinking they can con everyone out of money. This could possibly change after they stick around for a while. Tatsu suffers from being a joke character done in a way that I've noticed a lot in Japanese games.
What I mean is that there's just one joke tied to him (In this case Lin joking to eat him) while he also speaks and makes a joke at the worst possible time. My dislike for Tatsu was cemented in chapter 6, when they made him do the dumbest shit ever, all for the sake of giving us enemies to fight.

out of 500,000 owners of XCX, surely, there is atleast 1 person who has never used fast travel to verify if there really is a secret unlockable or not.

There are some missions where you can get a pet for customizing your barracks. For the cat, just finish an affinity mission named Nine Lives, you can get it on the commercial district.

i am quite far in the game, but i feel my overdrive game lacks technique. i mean i can do moderate damage with it (around 80-100k per overdrive) but based on what i saw before this number is quite low.
while i am not interested on how to create a meme build i would like to know better how can i improve my overdrive game.
i read somewhere that using a green and purple art helps increasing the counter, but there are ways to increase the time? its because of the failed soul voices?
any help would be appreciated, even if its directing me to a specific part in the manual to check, i have read it before, buy maybe i went over that part.

I think the combat is actually pretty great and a genuine step up from the previous game, but I agree that without an interesting story or characters to contextualize that I just have trouble finding the will to play on.
Strangely despite Mira feels way less alien and interesting to explore than the Bionis despite being a literal alien planet with a focus on exploration
So how the fuck do you set up your storage probes to be able to hold 100k Miranium to buy the Ares 90? I set mine up in a long combo from Primordia to Oblivia with duplicator and booster probe combos all the way and still can't manage to get over 85k storage.

It happens randomly (with your potency increased the chance) whenever you use an art, and resets all your cooldowns when it happens
It's the basis of most lategame strategies of just strapping a bunch of low cooldowns arts and a superweapon on your skell and using overdrive + cockpit mode to spam arts forever

Cockpit view is a random trigger that's linked to your Skell's Potential stat (the higher your Potential, the more chance you have to trigger cockpit view)
Entering cockpit view instantly fills all your cooldowns AND you're entirely invulnerable for the duration of the cockpit view. Cockpit view is especially useful for instantly reusing your long-cooldown, powerful attacks.

Can't comment on this. I haven't tried investing in to ranged arts from other ranged weapons. I'm content with the damage I get from master gunner + Beam Barrage + Beam bomber + Ether blast combos.
Also I'm not sure about the utility about of other guns but ray guns seems to have more topple consistency than the rest of them.

Game literally forces you into a Skell for stuff like Telethia, though. And fighting anything that can hover or move a lot with a melee weapon is a headache, but I don't mind, that's a fine drawback for melee.
