Oblivion is the Skyrim of its age, it's the herald of everything shit in TES and modern open world games. Horse armor DLC did more harm to this industry than anyone can even comprehend. Oblivion stripped more from Morrowind than Skyrim could ever hope to strop off of Oblivion. A couple of good faction quests, and a good expansion, doesn't excuse the worst fucking designs, lore rape, and the blandest everything in the series.
Your point on Roguelike reeks of some one who just like a single element of it, but isn't actually remotely interested in the genre, so they demand the entire genre is dismantled down to that 1 aspect they like. This is known as "streamlining" in dev buzzword speak. Just like how casuals just LOVE RPGs, as long as there's no actual role playing, consequences, writing or any other actual RPG mechanics, aside from "HP", "MP" and "Damage" stats.

When I play on console Im getting the exclusives I want, the multiplats and then still able to play the PC exclusives because 90% of them run on toasters.
