4TB external. Got it on black friday for like ~$90. I run all the games on that and keep the internal (1TB) only for the OS and apps.

I use a regular 4TB USB 3.0 HD. Anything will work pretty much as long as it is USB 3.0. It does have to be formatted by the xbox though and can only be used for xbox games once formatted.

Why did you guys buy an xbox one? Do you feel like microsoft learned its lesson and appreciates it's fans now? How do you feel about the hardware, is it at least decent enough to tolerate while gaming? Is the game selection any good?
I'm asking because i'm trying to choose between an PS4 and an Xbone. Leaning towards the PS4 because of the better hardware and some exclusives.

As an owner of both, the xbone is the better one to me. Here's why.
Live consistently continues to be leagues ahead of PSN in terms of ease of navigation, sales, games free per month, and connectivity.
UI is smoother and functions better. Looks nicer as well.
Multiplat perfomance: Xbone has a steadier frame rate in the multiplats I've played on both: Wolfenstein, Battlefield 4, and GTA V. As a mainly PC gamer, I can discern differences in steady frame rate because I'm anal about it on my PC.
Controller is comfier and staggered analog sticks feel much better to me than symmetrical. Also my ps4 sticks ripped like everyone else's.
If it weren't for specific weeb games I wouldn't own a PS4.

I don't want to call you a liar, but i disagree with you. I've been at LANs with both consoles and PCs, the ps4 was outperforming the xbone at a slightly higher res, but both had below-par FPS.
I do like the controller, but it feels a little light compared to my old 360 controllers.
I'll keep the online stuff in mind, i'm not really all to trilled to have to pay for online.

I gave you the games I've compared. Borrowed and tested with friends to confirm, we had them both running to find out. Both do have below par framerates, that's just what you get with a console. Few games are up there for that, mainly fighting games and Platinum/Clover are ones that usually are great. But I guarantee those games had better framerates on the xbone.

I only constantly play MGSV, Destiny, and Halo, though. I mostly play a single player game on and off, beat it, and then either start a new one or hunt for achievements if I really like it.
Playing Dishonored: DE right now. It's pretty cool. I love the art style and gameplay, but it's a bit easy even on the highest difficulty, and the guards are stupid. The story isn't the greatest ever, but I'd say it's above average.
