FFXIII has the best combat in the franchise. But you have to endure a 20 hour long, bloody, putrid shit of a story before you get access to building your party.
FFXII is somehow worse than FFXIII. At least XIII has a story to shit on. FFXII was a Japanese attempt at the West Wing, Martin Sheen might've saved FFXII's story.
VI is 3rd strike of Final Fantasies.

How are you faggots triggered this easily? I finished it on Console when it originally released.
The time system, while easy to manipulate, felt restricting on the first playthrough. It was completely unnecessary and added absolutely nothing to game. The quests for half the game amounted to nothing more than fucking fetch quests to uninteresting characters, that cooking recipe shit especially in the bigger city that I can't remember the name of. The return of existing characters was extremely poorly done, Noel was a fucking monster in XIII-2 yet his return amounts to absolutely fuck all for the story and during combat against him. Vanilles part in the story was retarded as well, basically everything about the story was stupid as shit.
Combat wise the game felt like shit, it didn't feel like an expanded X-2 at all. X-2s job system was fantastic and blended Turn Based and real time seamlessly. LR combat animations were janky as shit, nothing felt like it had an impact and everything felt really slow, especially early on when you're switching between very few attacks.
I could go on, but clearly you don't actually care about criticism for the game anyway. So fuck you all.

Feeling sluggish and having shit animations is pretty terrible in of itself, but okay. The job swapping ATB system just felt like a lazy attempt at making an actual action game. If you're going to attempt it, go the whole hog. Don't have a completely watered down system with a lazy combo system and limited movement during combat. This is why I also think the 15 demo felt like complete ass as well. I really enjoy games like Ninja Gaiden, DMC, Bayonetta etc., playing 15 just felt like a very cheap and pointless imitation limited by the genre it was a part of.
On the other hand, Kingdom Hearts 2 had very enjoyable combat for an action RPG, I was hoping 15 was going to go that route but it didn't.

Completely pointless. Half of the garbs in the game are useless trash and you still have to grind for spell drops / combine to level up skill anyway. X-2 had clear roles in the dress spheres, swapping between them gave you clear advantages and iconic skill sets.

I didn't though, I already stated in an earlier post I enjoyed previous games in the series. XIII-2 is (genuinely) among my top 5 in the mainline FF series. The combat was an improvement on XIII, felt fluid as hell and your customisation came in the form of the NPC skill choices that mattered.
