It can be jarring if whatever you are playing is good enough.
Its something you really gotta experience for yourself, you won't be FULLY immersed because although your sight and sound senses are in another world, you are still only feeling your own.
But its still REALLY great.
I've only ever had a chance to play Eve Valkyrie, but even that was amazing and I could see all first person games being this from now on.
