Biggest secret on /v/ is that Minecraft was popular on here during the alpha before it got mainstream attention. The went it started selling /v/ decided it sucked.
Played it a shit ton for a year or two, then all my will/interest is gone after 5 minutes everytime I try to play again.

My autistically creative self would sometimes play thisOn Ps4and make adventure maps for my friends to play, I only enjoy making these maps, and my friends really only played because I made sick maps.
Villages, Parkour, Puzzles, Mob arenas, Player arenas. it was great, it was almost a different game when you played with me, which means a lot considering there were no actual plugins and just neat little functions that the devs added.

I guess Notch should still be commended, but hell, it's sad to see someone shooting at the moon and missing because he decided to take a vacation from piloting the ship.
I keep hearing that notch released Minecraft inan incomplete state and never updated many alleged promised features.
A lot of people on this board talk as if Minecraft was supposed to be more than it ended up being.

I believe at one point having super mobs like dragons that could be damed and bred was mentioned. Supposedly they'd have their own nests that you could find and deal with.
Also, a sky dimension.
That's all I can remember about features that were properly planned, but how about something that should have been implemented and never was: An actual monster spawning system that doesn't feel like an alpha placeholder and is dependent on something beyond just how goddamn dark it is.
