That was compensated by over-retardness of Apollo. I mean, really, Phoenix was a retard in previous games, but he had his cool moments. Every time Apollo is trying to have a cool moment, Phoenix rushes in with "THAT WAS MY PLAN ALL ALONG!" screams. Did Apollo actually achieved something, or solved any case without Phoenix's or Trucy's help?

Yes he did. He may gain some clues from Maya from time to time, but in a lot of cases he has solved riddles all by himself. When i played Apollo, i havent really noticed ANY sparks of wisdom.
