Look, I'll be buying the PC release because it looks like a genuinely good port of one of my favorite games from last gen, but you'd have to be some special kind of retarded to STILL be falling for this shit from Capcom.
They've thrown out this "sequel if this remake/port sells enough!" crap so often and have never followed up on it, regardless of actual sales numbers. They just want to try and push more sales, that's it. You know what they gave us after DA? A mobile DD game and DDO. They don't want DD2, and a few PC sales won't change that.
The only thing I have against pirating this port is that they took the time to make some genuine improvements to the game, but considering this would be the third purchase of the same game for some people, I can't fault them for pirating. There will be more than enough people who buy for the rift to be populated with pawns, so I'm not worried.
