So /v/ do you use vidya as a way to bond and socialize more with people, or as a way to isolate yourself from the world further?
probably like 30% socializing 70% isolation
interesting question
no I use it to have fun
Why the fuck would I want to socialize with other people over video games considering it's mostly teenagers?
I play games to entertain myself.
>>323347901
I bond with my cousin when we talk about vidya, but we rarely play together because we don't own the same systems and he doesn't have a PC. I also avoid multiplayer games at all costs. So I guess I play to isolate myself? Thats not how I see it though, but whatever babygirl
Not always.
I only play consoles with lolis and qts. You know, normies and filthy casuals.
PC games is for myself. Although minecraft is an exception. I only play minecraft with qts.

>use vidya as a way to bond and socialize more with people
how to fuck up your youth 101
Been a mix. Used to game a lot with my friends when I was younger. Got a bit nerdier with my game playing after I lost touch with them so now I usually socialize with other stuff and game in a more focused way.
Like I can easily see gaming being everything from the only friend a suicidal NEET might have too being just a party tool or something friends do together to pass time. It's pretty broad in how it's applicable as compared to shit like books and shit.
>>323347901
I met my wife playing video games.
>>323347901
As a kid, definitely a way to socialize, but as I get older it's more of a means of isolation given the current state of communities.
I wasn't really afraid to meet new people when starting out a game but now it just feels like a hassle.Plus it hurts thinking about all the people you've seen go offline for the last time.

I use to bond and socialize with my friends and family, but it's mostly to immerse myself in the game andhave fun.

Feels pretty good.
>>3233492635', chinese, nice butt/legs, giant weebShe knows. She bought me a Major daki last christmas
Sort of both. I like to play MP games with my circle of vidya buddies (formed by couple of my IRL friends and their friends), but I couldn't give a shit about socializing with new people over the internet.
Although I have to admit that I met some of those current IRL friends through certain tightly knit internet community the first time, but that was a fluke that is unlikely to repeat.

damn channel 7 were really struggling for content on their morning programs since that infomercial guy had brain damage. I reckon the guy thought I'm on a scooter and a b-grade celeb so i don't have to obey road rules
>>323347901
Little of both, methinks. Online gaming is great and social but gaming itself is a great escape from the general ugliness of the world.
>>323349492
Why is /r9k/ so twitchy when it comes to friendships and relationships?
>>323349580
Married men have this air of conceit and cuckery about all of them. Like, I have my wife, now I can be a betamax but I'm also bringing in the money so I can do whatever I want, within my wife's limits.
No offense, dude, you're probably getting laid.
>>323349914
Just have some respect. I don't remember what it was like being a virgin but still being one well into your adulthood can't be easy.
>>323350010
None taken. We don't control each other like that , but I see it in a lot of other couples. If your partner puts arbitrary limits on what you can do, they suck.
>>323350010
>have this air of conceit and cuckery
This is the most /v/ post ive ever seen in my life
Talking to people online that I met through videogames is the closest thing to social activities that I do. I don't actually play with people frequently though, I just play the same things as others.
>>323350010
This is the saddest post I've seen in a long time.
>>323347901
both
>>323350010
Well, most married people do tend to get laid, yes.
No
I'm antisocial behind a screen like i'm antisocial in real life
ironically i almost play multiplayer games, but that's because i like the feeling of domination ad admiration
narcissism is a hell of a drug
