Yeah, no not really
The second game improved in many levels, the platforming gameplay is not as easy, harder puzzles, more hidden treasures to find, better graphics, better writing, more action paced, actual story. It improved a lot

First games pretty boring and at best a decent game.
Second is 10x better, and is amazing the first time. Though over time the cinematic effect dwindles and the game losses it's luster.
Third is more of the same, it's good, but it doesn't wow like the second did.
Looking forward to 4. Hopefully it's still good even after naught dog talent left.
