DOA
>>
Why buy a cell phone every year?
>>
>>323295246
He said it's between a smartphone and console, so probably in the 2-3 years ballpark.
>>
>>323295246
Nobody will care about Oculus Rift or "VR" in a year

>Nobody will care about Oculus Rift or "VR" in a year

yeah, I agree about oculus. Fucking cucks. But VR? It's gonna be great.
>>
>>323296449

We are talking palmer luckey ballparks here, so every 6 months right?
>>
Buying Rift when he's not fat again.

Youre autistic arent you
>>
>>323296527
I'll start caring when I can get one for under $200
>>
>>323298298
No. What makes you think that?
>>
>>323295246
Source?
>>
>>323298298

Not buying new phones every year would mean he is the opposite of being autistic, anon.

Always buy electronics as soon as they come out, especially brand new products looking to fill a niche because it always works out great!
>>
>>323298298
How would that make sense?
>>
>>323295340
Normalfags like to do it. I don't really get it either. Smartphones don't get new features/general improvements at the same rate they used to back in early to mid 00's. I've been using my iPhone 4S since 2012 and it still works just fine. Been thinking of upgrading to a phone with 4G and NFC during this year (probably a Jolla or oneplus).

It's funny because VR is not new. This particular market has been on an infinite loop for about 50 years now. It's the same every time. And every time, people go "THIS time we'll get it because of all the technological advances!". It's becoming a thing. The eternal failure of VR due to just being face TVs.
>>
>>323296527
I'll hold you to that.
>>
>>323300075
It was actually from the far cry game.
>>
>>323295246

Wasn't that guy killed by Zuckerberg so he could buy out Oculus Rift?

Will VR ever moved on from being monitor glued to face?
>>
>>323298298

I don't think you know what that word means.
>>
>>323300075
>It's funny because VR is not new
Too bad nobody claimed that ever, maybe you internet "intellectuals" might actually try reading things before spouting some gospel that is common knowledge to low the average population (low iq idiots unlike yourselves).
>>
>>323296449
According to Mocrosoft, Xbone is going to be around for 10 years. So every 5 years then?
>>
>>323300265
He only killed the smarter one while keeping the flipflops retard alive.
>>
>>323300295
Of course not moron
>>
>>323300265
No because Palmer Luckey still makes tweets. The other co-founder guy died in Santa Ana, California after a hit and run at a cross walk from Cholos who were running away from the police.
>>
>>323300385
>Somewhere between a console and a mobile phone, much closer to a mobile phone.
>>
>>323300295
It will always be essentially a monitor glued to your face, in the future the form factor will get smaller and stuff but unless you invent matrix brain plugs it will always be screens.
>>
>>323300295
It's either that or projecting shit right into your eye, and this sounds even worse health-wise.
>>
Shit, now that I think about it, I've had the same smartphone since 2011.
>>
>>323300075
>"THIS time we'll get it because of all the technological advances!"
the thing is that could have been true this time around if oculus stuck to their original idea of using repurposed phone tech to get an affordable device out to as many people as possible. now it's just going to be the same as it was in the 90s where no one will develop content for it because the market is too small.
>>
>>323300295
There is actual functional VR out there already that's used in flight schools, for example. Or military training for special operations branches. It's insanely expensive though and reserved for government work mostly. Bringing "VR" to consumer level is going to take some time.

I have a $50 phone I got at the supermarket like 5 years ago.
