This movie completely miss the feel of the game. Why did they change so much?
Street fighter. Movie was so bad it was borderline good, but it wasn't quite there.

To be fair most videogames plots can't be placed in a movie without adaptations and additional content to make up for the gameplay sections.
The truth is most of these IPs are given to talentless hacks who couldn't come up with a good script if their life depended on it, so when they go and fill the blanks they find themselves unable to work with the original story and just start making shit up to make it fit.

Riddick 3 was a very "riddick" movie and I enjoyed it, but it wasnt really anything mind blowing. It was pretty much as one would expect it to be.

Max Payne is a symptom of a very common practice in film, they tooj a script that was completely unrelated to the series and decided to slap Max Payne`s name on it to draw more people, every Hellraiser Sequel after 2 is a product of this.
