I didn't drop it. The RTS elements are a huge schizophrenic tone shift, and the mechanics are fairly half-assed and probably triggered you actually RTS autists, but it's still a 6/10 game. Not unplayable, even enjoyable if you're invested in the story.

Not that anon but honestly no. Its not horrible but its still bad and will likely ruin the game unless you are in love with the game's atmosphere and setting. If you do then it wont be as bad and you can still enjoy the game alot cause its not a huge section of the game.

The RTS elements aren't great but they're definitely bearable. Not nearly as bad as everyone makes them out to be. I enjoyed it at least, I just wish the game wasn't so fucking short. It had a lot of potential and it did a lot with the amount it had, but it just left me wanting more.

It should have been an action platforming game with a hub area, similar to Banjo Kazooie and Super Mario 64.
The hub could have been his apartment where you can gather and collect shit and the tv can serve as a portal to different realms.

Yeah, I actually felt similarly about it, it was surprisingly emotional for a game that didn't really focus too much on its character relationships.
The goths in general were a good way to progress it I thought, but the final enemy wasn't really based off any particular subgenre as far as I can tell, not that was given reference to at least.
It felt like the whole second half was rushed though, it started with this sweet buildup, then you got your army and like 5 battles latter the entire game is done. Was still fun collecting shit though, and all the cameos were done pretty well.

It's neither really. It's not terrible, it's just mediocre really. The issue is that it's a massive step down from the quality of the rest of the game.
It's definitely not hard though, not until maybe the very end, where it suffers from the issue a lot of RTS games have where literally everything the enemy has is by far better than your stuff.
