>Those games you just can't stop once you start.

I don't know what it is about this game, but I just have way to much fun with it to stop playing.

Slowbeef?

The problem with this is if you play it through again it becomes really easy even on the hardest difficulty. Still enjoyed it though
>>
That fucking gorilla
>>
It's not quite what OP is asking for but after my first time finishing an old style RE game I always feel compelled to get a couple of really fast runs through the game to see how fast I can get through it.

>>323269532
well shilled I'll download it.

Game of the decade after The Evil Within
>>
I always forget to pick this game up during sales, fuck, can someone shill it next time its on sale?
>>
Funnily enough, I actually played this yesterday after buying it years ago and never getting more than 30 minutes in. Ended up staying up til 2am to finish it. Thought it was great, though the difficulty went down the more the game went on as I upgraded my gun and was able to just mow scrap-heads down before they could even hurt me. Really net set-pieces, lovely visuals. Definitely something I can see myself replaying every year or so.

I bought this for $4, played it at 2AM, finished at 10AM
My only problem is that the fucking mic commands were fucking up through the whole game even though all sound was going through my headphones
>>
>pic not related
>>
>>323273781
Do you have to run EW at 30fps?
I tried running it on over that it the game runs like shit constantly.
>>
>>323269532
Its a shame the big welsh girl didn't do anything or say anything all game.
>>
>>323273781
Evil Within was enjoyable but it just didn't really keep up the momentum or surprises throughout the whole game.

For example, in the hospital wing where you fight the completely invisible enemies that you can only spot by them bumping into objects or walking into puddles, I actually found that to be a really tense, exciting sequence. I really felt like a significant amount of the game in the second half was completely devoid of anything like that.

I replay this game every single year, once I start it's so hard to quit, I keep saying "one more mission".
I once fell asleep playing this game because I was just so tired but couldn't force myself to stop.

This game is, and probably always will be, my GOAT game
>>
>>323276696
>not just using buttons for commands
It's a neat gimmick, but pointless.
>>
>>323278670
Only thing about that game is I never liked the first mission were you play as just the scout dude with the dog.
Also is the GoG version working?, thinking about getting it and the only version I played was the ps2 port back in the day.
>>
Holler if you're dead.

>No New Game + so you can collect and buy all chip/upgrade
>That fucking car chasing level
>That fucking gorilla boss
>Everyone wants to kill superior human
Still good though, shame they don't make a level where you can control a robot boss at the end.
>>
>>323279138
>Also is the GoG version working?
not sure, I've got the game on disc and on steam. Running win10 now, the steam version doesn't work for me, the disc version does. Haven't tried the GoG version, but I don't feel like buying the game for a third time.

I've actually set up a virtual machine to play this game, winxp

also if you're gonna play this game, google for widescreen/resolution tweaks
>>
That was SWEEEEEEEEEEET
>>
>>323279456
>Everyone wants to kill superior human

This shit was pretty stupid.
>>
>teen girl asks you to be her boyfriend
>say yes
>trust with every member goes down
WHEN DID YOU SUDDENLY BECOME MR. MORALS, BO?
>>
>Buy stuffs with my account
>Wonder how the hell they found me
Can you actually win that lottery? It's always red for me.
>>
>>323280292
You went through the whole game without a single lotto win? That's some serious bad luck.
>>
>>323278670
I wonder how many people today couldn't make it through the tutorial mission in first Commandos.

I never got the weird backlash everyone had for The Evil Within. It's like the expected something completely different or something.

I didn't use it much I guess

I had the Kiryu Kazuma online skin for this.

Shit was awesome.
>>
>>323281898
I would've laughed my ass off if instead of the major in a big mech as the final boss, it was the gorilla coming back for revenge.
>>
>>323281903
Did you have the Japanese version?
>mfw no Binary Domain references in the later Yakuza games.
>the only reference to Yakuza in Binary Domain is the online skins and the Yakuza boss.

The shooting is perfect in BD. Disassembling robot armor with your rifle feels fucking great.

I only got to play Vanquish after I have finished BD and while it was great the lack of armor destruction was really disappointing.
>>
>>323276696
Yeah, one way to make the game more enjoyable is disabling the mic as soon as it starts.
>>
>>323279886
They are soldiers in an extremely hostile environment.

Their fear is that he may act illogically if she's in harm way in an attempt to save her instead of doing the right course of action

At this point, everybody could die due to how he reacted.

OP's pic and Mirror's Edge. In ME's case it helps that the game is lightning fast once you get good
>>
>>323282684
iirc the online skins for the yakuza characters did not make it over to the west.
>>
>>323269532

> people keep praising the game
> actually play the game
> most of it is spend shooting a group of green robots (later blue) in corridors
> boss battles get boring because they have so much health on hard and you have regen health + multiple lives (specially since it's very hard to die to regular enemies)
>>
>>323269532
great game but the on-rail shooting parts were awful

>>323286692

Fucking great game! If you were to tell me a game based on an escort quest would be one of my favourites a few years back I would have slapped you.
>>
>>323286860
I think it's because you start caring about the escorted person pretty early in the game. Anyway it was really well written, so I just had to know what happens next.
>>
>>323280801
Was there a backlash? I mean, I have some disdain because it feels like Mikami was pressured into making a horror game when he initially wanted to make Zwei, which sounded like a more interesting concept, but I doubt that's something most people cared about.
>>
I usually replay Pikmin 2 every year or so. I've played it so much I have most of the dungeons memorised.

This game still rocks. Replay this every half a year and it never gets old.
