It pains me to know that online is basically dead because I get urges to play this all the time.

Do you honestly think that essentially mimicking the art style of another game and taking character skills from it isn't more a ripoff than taking some core gameplay elements and expanding upon them while also making an incredibly unique and beautiful art style to go with it?

I know that they're different, I was trying to make that same point with the vagrant game and dragons crown. The art style is influenced but the actual themes are definably not comparable and from what I can tell that vagrant game plays more like muramasa than dragon's crown. So it's hardly fair to call it a ripoff with reasons like that.

It looks pretty 1:1 what the Odin Sphere reworking is gonna be like, as far as gameplay goes. Same with the environment and weapon designs. Of course the story content is going to be different, since all the Vanillaware games have a basis in some sort of folklore or mythology (Odin Sphere and Norse mythology, Muramasa and Japanese folklore, Dragon's Crown and D&D and Western high fantasy) that the game sticks to quite closely. The Vagrant, on the other hand, looks like more of a mishmash of ideas from all sorts of sources (which there's no problem with at all).
