Controls are much tighter and it got a full on graphical upgrade. It dose not look or feel like a handheld game at this point. If you want to get technical it's actually a PS3 console game at it's core, that's why the transition is pretty much seamless, seriously, go check out gameplay footage and come to your own conclusions.

I'm so glad they remastered the original GR to help build a fanbase for it. I'm also glad Sony saw the potential in the ip and cared enough to fund a sequel for it. It's not often something like gravity rush comes along and it seemed to have come out of nowhere to. 2 looks really nice.

No, I'm going to wait until a week after Dark Souls 3 comes out to decide whether or not I buy a PS4.
Here's how I will decide: Will the PC version allow for 60 fps without bullshit bugs like physics problems (in Dark Souls 1) or durability problems (in Dark Souls 2)? If yes, then I'll definitely buy the PC version and won't even consider a PS4.
If the PC version is utter shit, then I'll get a PS4 and buy the PS4 version of the game.

The games are cheaper argument is not set in stone, PSN is sometimes cheaper than steam and you can buy physical copies of games from various places for cheap. There are no ads but there is paid online and it is not backwards compatiable so you have those two things.
