Ok video card releases are usually either new architecture as in completely new tech or refreshes where they improve on old architecture which aren't worth the upgrade if you own the previous line. Then you have the rarer jumps of direct x that older cards don't fully support. Direct X11 came out in 2009 and we've been getting dx11 cards all this time. In 5 months we will be having native direct x 12 cards so it's worth to just hold off. Direct x 12 will assist greatly in vr and make it easier for devs to optimize pc games once it's put in action. Plus the performsce gap will be larger. I recommend getting amd's Polaris if you want a card that will last you a while.
Nearly everyone will tell you it's the worst time to build or upgrade atm. New cpus are inbound too.

As long as you don't crank brightness/gamma yes. Nights require lanterns and even then it's not far. Traveling takes walking an exploring and there's just so much content between questing, hunting, grinding, xpac zoone, ng plus, ur dragon and even rerolling to try something new.

It's worth to see what happens. As of now they are inferior but zen has 16 cores and 32 with ht. Intel will step up their game if amd doesn't fuck this up. If amd can at least match Intel at a cheaper price it will be worth it. Dx12 basically works around games utilizing each core more.
