A PS3 is very cheap nowadays and has good exclusives, like Demon's Souls. I'd say that's worth to get one if you never had a 7th generation console, that way you can play games like Dragon's Dogma, Catherine, Bayonetta and many others. Yeah you're right, the reason why games like Bloodborne and Persona 4 feel so good is because it comes off as having a singular vision with an end goal what the final product should be like.

I don't think it was development hell.
Most likely the build of the game they had around the time they announced it for 2013 was very different to what they have now, probably closer to 3 and 4 in terms of scale and visuals. Then somewhere along the line they decided to just go balls out and make it the biggest, best game they could, and took the appropriate time they needed to do that.I'm talking out my ass of course, but that's just what I think.

Golden fills january and february with a new years event, sleepovers, getting sick, ski trips, another dungeon in february, more testing, snow filled inaba with different music.
