This list basically proves Japanese video game console development is increasingly irrelevant. Major Japanese studios and developers go out of business by the year. Big name studios like Capcom, Konami, and platinum are basically defunct. Huge developers like Kojima have gone on record saying that true video game development is happening in the west. For fucks sake Yokai Watch Busters and Animal Crossing Happy Home Designers are in the top 3 games sold in 2015.

I grew up on amazing japanese games like mega man, final fantasy, and sonic. But Japan's time is over. They can't innovate to save their lives. It's a sad day but it needs to be said.
