Writer for Borderlands 2 and parts of TftBL. Notable for trying to shoehorn arbitrary "diversity" in his writing, all the while creating enormous plotholes, and than retconning anything that doesn't agree with his poorly wrought fanfiction.net tier writing. Probably my favourite Telltale game on par with TWD1. Me and my bro played through it all one night, few drinks etc, and we genuinely had a laugh with it.
I know that obviously Telltale had a lot less to deal with in the gameplay department than the main games, but I love the way they just took things that Gearbox do horribly and knock them out of the park.
They basically did their own Claptrap and made it actually enjoyable instead of one of the worst characters of all time.
They showed the inside of a vault, even if it was brief and mysterious.
Oh and humour. They did that humour thing that Gearbox can't seem to manage.

This. I can't remember last time video game made this happy.
Was up way too late bingeing these. Loved the musical intros, which I guess is already a borderlands thing but I think they took up a notch by making them (occasionally) interactive.
Really thought I wouldn't dig the last episode because it seemed like everything got resolved too quickly with Helios but then the final sequence was so perfectly funny and over the top that I fell in love all over again (though not with Sasha, I kept her as just a bro).
Particularly with Rhys I took the strategy of if there was an obviously bad (as in stupid) choice, I took it and the game was still awesome. I appreciated that.

I feel we should give them props for creating characters we care about without taking the shortcut of forcing a romantic relationship like a lot of other media does.
I guess the flip side of that is that they are so good at making us care about characters if they go full romance I think we'd expect an awful lot of pay off which might be hard to do and still keep a convincing story if you don't choose that path.

Early Telltale might have done this, but I seriously doubt they'll ever go back to their obscure graphic novel roots now that they're drowning in AAA licenses and Wolf Among Us sold like shit.
