And yes, the Hitbox. I've never, ever gotten used to regular arcade sticks. I've always been more used to playing games on keyboards. It's only with the occasional games like DMC3 that I play on pad, because playing on keyboard is much harder. But Tekken, Guilty Gear and Melty Blood I play on Hitbox.

I love her design and her attitude and the fact she was a fun player character. I know its seems like an odd choice but shes been my favorite since I first played Mirror's Edge. If I had to put someone else there it would be Kreia from KOTOR 2 or Alyx from HL2
Alien Isolation legitimately has the best atmosphere I've experienced in Vidya in my opinion, the one thing that could top it for me would be Thief the Dark Project. Speaking of Thief I think I'd rather have that in my near perfect game slot.

Before KF2 was released my favorite soundtrack was KF1's, I'm a bit of a metalhead.

Played Max Payne 3, the soundtrack didn't really catch me. Meaning to play the Yakuza series though. I just started playing Planescape: Torment and Morte already has left and impression on me from what I've seen.

Majora's Mask was my extremely close second for 'Near Perfect Game' and Silent Hill 2 was third (after Morrowind) for 'Story/Atmosphere'. Great taste. I've been meaning to get Rocket League but I'd imagine the community is just die-hards at this point.

I really like Mirror's Edge but I find Faith to be not so great. She's pretty blase about the events around her, sort of reluctantly going around doing stuff. Like a silent protagonist they scrambled to give some lines after focus testing came back negative. If she wasn't a Woman nobody would even remember her name-- honestly, even though her femininity is so subdued.

It's a definite afterthought. I seriously doubt anyone other than the music team thought for a second about what the music would be or how it would impact whatever they were momentarily working on.

Skyrim fails in almost ever capacity as an RPG and your criticism of the overworld is pretty much right and I could probably go on even longer on what is wrong with it from hindsight but when I first played it fresh I feel the soundtrack made all of that bearable to a degree that the game will always have a soft spot in my heart. The music is strong, distinctive and bears a glutton for adventure. You see Skyrim has fuck all in it (vast as an ocean, deep as a puddle etc..) and the soundtrack perfectly compliments that for a first time player: the soft whimpers, the angelic chorus and ghoulish echoes tricked me into believing that this place held mysteries and if I soldiered on further, just scratched the surface, I'd find something amazing. Well it took me 30 hours to figure Skyrim out for what it was, but with a lesser soundtrack I believe I would have figured it out sooner.
