CoD's single player campaigns are riddled with lazy writing and stupid repetitive plots but it does know how to manipulate your emotions, but that shit's easy as fuck to do in any medium.
CoD's single player campaigns are genuinely hype as fuck because of this. They do a lot of things right and are genuinely fun, anyone can enjoy them, but it gets stale and repetitive to those who play real vidya.
Enjoying CoD is alright, but it just means that you're a baby who enjoys things because muh feelings.
News flash: Manipulating emotion is the easiest thing to do in art. If you let yourself get manipulated easily, you're either poor or a teenager.

2014, here. Just tried out COD AW last month.
IMR w/ foregrip and quick draw.
There are only black and Mexicans that play that game though, guess it's cause the new one came out.
They're alright every once in a while. BO3 is actually pretty fun with the jetpacks.

COD is not the only shooter I play. I play CS:GO quite frequently, currently am Supreme MFC, but have stopped playing a bit due to the whole deranking fest going on.
I do. I really only play CoD2, WaW, and MW1 however.

I like them in moderation. I think everyone has their own personal belief where they think everything went wrong but I really did enjoy Black Ops and Black OPs 2. I really do think MW2 has the best campaign, there are so many great moments in it its hard not to have fun.
