So stupid and disappointing to kill series after Raven Shield by removing planning phase. This was really fun, unique and satisfying... Are there other games with similar planing phases to the ones in Rainbow Six (<=3) games.Already played in Frozen Cortex.

Fun is not a valid description of any game. "But it's fun". That's not an argument. Video games are not just fun, and you can't defend a game by saying it's fun. Claiming a game is fun is a symptom of someone who can't think for themselves. If you truly think a game is fun, you don't claim it's fun but why it's fun. "But it's fun". If it's so fun why can't you defend it? People who just claim games are fun are wrong or incapable of valid criticism and thought. It's like trying to defend a bad cake by saying it's tasty but you can't come up with a reason why it's tasty. A good cake is not tasty, but many other things. Taste and fun are just symptoms and need to be weened out of your vocabulary except as a conclusion based on valid reasoning and criticism.

The older Rainbow Six games didn't have a planning phase in the adversarial/multiplayer mode. There is a planning/preparation phase in Siege though. Of course fuccbois completely ignore it.
Just asking anyone play the gundam rainbow six clone game on ps2? Its my fav gundam game and has the same planning like the old rainbows.
What exactly does the planning phase do? I mean, does it restrict you from diverting from that path in realtime play? Can you change your mind mid-mission and decide to infiltrate from a different route?

You can play with up to three squads. You control one squad, the other are AI. The planning tells the AI what to do. You can also switch between squads or plan for your own squad, which will show up as white dots in the level.

Yes between that one and the dreamcast gundam are thr best ones. Think it was called gundam side story 0079 and kind of rainbow six style of gameplay.

Playing R6: Siege with a good squad involves a lot of group planning and tactics. It's not the same, obviously; but when you have the right group it's still pretty great.
