All it does is interpolate the image. It doesn't give it more power.
So basically if you want to run a game like mgs v that runs at 60 fps under vr, you would have to render it twice, then downgrade it even further until both renders are 60 fps and then use the box to provide fake frames to 120. That's assuming the interpolation won't be shit and make people throw up.
