I think there's a big difference from simply grabbing and shoving someone, to sitting on top of them and beating the ever loving shit out of them.
Again, it's a scene I hope they keep as it's a very powerful moment - though worried it'll get changed and make the feeling of how bad Cloud is losing it to. . .just pushing/slapping her once, and then getting knocked out.
