They regenerate really fast. So do most PCs.
Superior - but not extreme - strength/speed/endurance. So most PCs to some point.
Most PCs have vampire powers without their drawbacks.

There are always ways of doing it. Spiderman is in no shortage of games, and the guy could easily deal with your average Vampire. Not to mention they could simply "nerf" the lore and make them weaker to be more easy to play as.
