A lot of the bosses are taken on while flying, so combat against them is a good deal lazier, as positioning is largely done for you - you've just got to move towards the boss, unleash combos, and dodge.
The first real boss in Bayo1 was Fortitudo, which involved dodging his fireballs and lunges on top of the walkways, using the hourglass to reverse magma damage done to the coliseum, and then doing a quicktime event to tear off the heads one by one.
The first real boss in Bayo2 is 3 Glamors, which is the boss from the first chapter. Here, you have to dodge all the same attacks you did there, and just pound on it the same way you did before, but now you have to do it three times, and you're flying. Woo.

Cold color contrast compared to Bayo 1's warm colors.
Certain enemies can break combos and can't be relaunched.
Stylish combat is harder to do but still fun to pull off.
Weaker final bosses compared to the first game but still pretty neat to battle against.
Rodin boss battle easier than the first but still insanely harder.
Better weapon choices but don't contribute much to allowing players to be stylish, but are pretty effective nonetheless.
Easier experience than part 1, even on Infinity Climax. You no longer lose witch orbs if you are hit, items don't penalize you, and the Umbran Climax is beyond broken as hell.
Still a great game though.

No. The final boss in 1 was a pain in the ass. On paper sure it sounds amazing. You punch god into the sun. Cutscene wise that was crazy. In execution though that was just a QTE. The actual boss prior to that was a colossal pain in the ass that was no fun to fight at all. Bayo 2 doesn't end with gurren lagan tier crazy like that but at least it was a fun fight. That's more than I can say for the first game.

I wouldnt mind the Samus situation as much if there was at least some with her being dominant as a counterbalance to all the sub material. I like my strong chicks but I also think that them being a little submissive (not being destroyed by aliens tier though) is cute from time to time. The thing about 2's final fight for me is that it just felt like a faster version of something you already fought twice with a few extra tricks thrown in because thats what it essentially was. It left me feeling like there should have been more. I'm not saying it needed to be grand spectacle Jubileus level, but at least something fundamentally different from what we already fought earlier.
