I feel kinda cheated.
EVERYONE insisted artorias was difficult/amazing boss to fight, but
I literally just walked into his boss fog and bashed his face in with my Demon Great Machete.

No, learning to dodge and roll through attacks and retaliate with massive ultra weapon damage shits on everything in the game.
Greatshield and heavy armor also makes him trivial, as Arty relies mainly on strong single hits to do damage, none of which have enough oomph to get through the stability of a decent greatshield such as Black Iron or Havel's shields. Then you retaliate with some R2 or a couple of R1s and melt his HP

I never use a shield.
It seems the same technique I use in pvp still applies to pvp, considering I staggerlocked artorias.
Cant use r2s on demon great machete, just jumping R2s.

I think the blue was overlevelled, since he dropped 43000 souls when I killed him.
reds all seemed average levels though, since they dropped like 3000-10k a piece

Manus is one of the easier bosses if you have the item from Oolacile which blocks those dark orb attacks. His melee shit is all easily avoidable.

Stamina ring and Favour ring are within like the first 2 hours of the game, and even when I played DaS for te first time I was aware END was more important than VIT straight off the bat.
The only time DaS is hard is if you purposely go out of your way not to use the items that are thrown at you, and if you're too dumb to realise you can upgrade your weapons to do more damage.

If that is the case, the only real challenge left in PvE is rolling SL1 and not using pyromancy.
Do what I did. Do that, clear everyone but Gwyn, then have fun seeing just how many people you can kill anywhere you please. Not just fishing for unskilled lowbies, but catching people off guard on a run deep in the game. It is satisfying killing someone who blatantly outgears / outlevels you with nothing but skill.
Here is what I run. The "Help me! Carving" and "I'm Sorry Carving" are the other two items I have on me at all times, but they weren't on the list.

My main focus is to try to toxic people for fun first, hence the Toxic Mist and Dung Pie. If that doesn't work, time to try to kill them the normal way. Black Flame is more of an "Oh shit!" backup plan rather than my go to "Shut Up And Spam" strategy.

For biggie smalls, use pyro for ornstein and take your time baiting. When it's just smough left, shit gets easy.

Here's a tip: lightning works on him and a good strategy I found useful is to cast chaos storm when he goes for the grab attack. It will hit him numerous times and make the fight a lot easier.

Artorias was by far the hardest boss in my bow only run. He took literal chip damage from me. I stopped playing for like a month after dying to him so many times.
Then I decided to start up the game and go for another shot at him. Right before a fog gate, I read a message, "Weakness: left" and that was all I needed to beat him in one go.

and
B. Cheat engine has been getting people softbanned/put in low prio queus more and more frequently as of late.
I personally dont recommend CE as you run risk of being stuck with fuck ton of hacks in low-priority servers.
And you dont ever get OUT of those.
Game has been tightening up its item flagging, even offline yo.
Cases of softban so far:
-person had a friend drop slab for him
-person actually completed game without dying or levelling in DaS
-Person attained both the rings for not dying and not lighting bonfires in DaS2 at the same time
none of these people were even using CE.

it wasn't me complaining about grinding, but regardless, you can't 'suck' at grinding, it takes time, not skill
unless it involves doing something very hard of course, but usually grinding is made on a section that requires little to no skill, otherwise you'll fuck up eventually and that'll slow down the grinding... unless of course the reward is huge, but that's a specific case

its the fault of a very vocal minority that whines about non-issues that gets things removed from the game

things being broken was never an issue for demons souls, and the pvp in that game is remarkably fun, no matter what build you are playing, simply BECAUSE everything was broken.
Lastly, the reward for the grind IS huge.
A titanite slab is very important. especially since the last upgrade gets you over that last breakpoint for damage, in most cases.
DaS2 subverts the grind and makes it shit easy though imo.

Fromsoft had a huge issue with surface angle in DaS.
Anything at or above 45 degrees, and you slip to your doom.
this is the worst on any organic path, like tree branches where the edges are rounded and have massive fall zones that you cant see.
Crystal cave also has a couple paths that are at precisely 45 degrees that look safe, but really arent.
DeS had the issue too, especially since there was 0 gravity, so your fall angle was huuuuuge you were like to slip off a platform you DID land correctly on. at least Dex reduced fall damage, DaS2 avoided this entirely, plus equips that reduced fall damage.

There are no good int weapons until you reach the painted world or cut off Seefs tail. And good luck with that as an int build only way to do it is crystal soul weapon on a crystal helbard and hope to get lucky
Int builds are harder and less fun because of how finicky they are.
I could spend hours setting up the ideal int build all while being squishy and dealing with locked spell animations, or I can pick up a big stick and deal more damage, get in more hits and have a way easier time dodging

Nah m8. Int build are easier than str/dex builds. Almost as good melee damage with infused weapons, better with weapon enchantments and utterly broken spells that enemies have no way of countering
