Who is the console equivalent of John Carmack?
Also general John Carmack appreciation thread.
Whoever can be credited for Nintendo's rise back in the 80s.
Miyamoto?
>>322727684
Naw. Miyamoto was just mostly there to make sure the game feel right. Programming I would say Tezuka or Iwata was the leading guys.

It was the guy that got hit by a car. He made the Game Boy.
Anyone read Masters of Doom?
Good shit. Carmack makes this world much enjoyable. I wish I could be an enthusiastic about something.

the guy yamauchi killed?
>>322727908
>gameboy
>irrelevant minor gadget
>not recognizing the console that literally dug whole videogame industry from the grave and resurrected it
NES will forever be the absolute pinnacle of Nintendo's achievements, brah.

Carmack is a legend. If I wasn't irredeemable biowaste I'd be inspired by him.
What are we going to do when Carmack dies?
>>322728671
>What are we going to do when Carmack dies?
Lament the death of PC gaming. How cold we ever go on without him?
>>322728503
Has anyone sent this to Carmack
>>322727908
Gunpei Yokoi? He was just a toy maker. Actually if /v/ was alive back than all they would do is cry that a 1970's tech was used for a system made in 1990. He was a genius when it came with "deal with the tools you got" but I wouldn't say he was as up there as Carmack.
Also I love how ID tried showing off their weird version of SMB on PC and Nintendo threw them out.
>>322729145
I seriously doubt Carmack would even bother to comment.
He doesn't live for props, unlike that fucking jewcunt.

Yeah, John Carmack transcends shitty journalistic stuff.
industry needs to crash so carmack can usher in the waifu age.
>>322728503
>mfw john carmac looks more feminine than anita in that image
>>322728182
Bullshit.Yamauchi looked like the kind of man who had people to do that for him
>>322728671
Carmack is only like 40 years old. Which honestly surprised me.
>>322730753
Do you think he's working on technology that will somehow keep him alive after he dies?
A robot body for his brain?
An AI that contains all his memories?
>>322730908
>A robot body for his brain?
Might aswel, he already is kind of a robot. Hopefuly he'll help develop little robot girl bodies to transfer my brain into.
