Definitely hyped. The PS2 version doesn't get much attention. It's a lot of fun and has a great feel to it due to the music and artwork. It's a bit repetitive though. You have to play through the same levels 4-5 times with each character, killing mostly the same enemies, in order to properly complete the game. The game plays a lot differently with each character so it's not that bad, but the beautiful environments lose their charm a bit the fourth or fifth time round. Still a great game though, Muramasa too.

Generally that happens in more rural areas, and even there it can be avoided if you buy stuff through official channels and don't go for whoever is offering you a good train price near the station. Also if you stay in some area for longer and can spare cash, get somebody to show you around. Most younger people know at least bit English, and when you lower your vocabulary enough communication should go fine.
