I'm enjoying it, it has a decent amount of content (at least for the first playthrough.) I haven't played much outside of that yet, but I got about 25 hours out of the first run.
It seems faster paced than PoE, but I only got a couple hours in that so I can't say for sure.

I just started Elite after hitting level 50 and beating all the zones on Normal.
Playing a Soldier/Demolitionist dual wielding pistols to shoot things, but I think there's probably a better build out there.
My main question is: Does playing on Elite make getting materials easier? I gave up Normal because it was impossible to farm Ectoplasm for Skeleton Keys, but if it's just as bad on Elite, I'm not gonna bother.

Sometimes only certain mobs drop certain components. AFAIK only ghosts drop Ectoplasm (in Spined Cove, Arkovian Undercity and SoT)
in Elite there's more higher lvl component drops even in Act 1

It's not about WHAT enemies drop the components, it's the fact that you can't actually grind them effectively since you have to walk to the place they are, kill them, hope for a drop, and then log out and do it again.
I gave up on trying to "farm", doing a 10 minute run for not a single Ectoplasm just to make a Key so I could open the only end-game zone left.

I have. I ran both of them 4 times in a row, and it took fucking forever, without a single drop. It's not the act of grinding that's an issue, it's how non-time-efficient it is.
