Just picked up Diablo III, should I play this game while listening to podcasts or is the story significant enough to pay attention to and is the sound design / music immersive? I play so many games while listening to podcasts, it's a hard habit to break.

I would consider keeping sounds on (like D2 specific loot makes specific noises when it drops, but since loot is instanced there's no possible way someone will steal it)

During leveling you can even watch a tv show or movie on a second monitor since you're pretty much unkillable.
just make sure you have the sound up in Act 3 so you don't miss Azmodan's phone calls
Leah is the child of the dude from the first game who gets possessed by Diablo and then becomes Diablo herself, resulting in a why boner. Cain dies. You're a chosen one and end up beating the shit out of everything and saving the world.

Tyrael gets turned into a black man because he got upset. No one will mention how this resulted in hundreds if not thousands of people killed by the undead that were awoken by this.

Emperor is actually Belial, a twist so obvious even the character goes "Yeah, so let's fight because you're a Belial".

Azmodan "the best battlefield tactican" evil has to offer keeps appearing to tell how to defeat his army in easy to follow steps. Seriously, he helps you more than anyone on your side.
Act 4
Chase sexy Diablo. Kill sexy Diablo. Look up porn of sexy Diablo.
Act 5
Chase emo Angels around. Setting is cool though.

The only thing about this game that impresses me is how they keep updating the thing after so much time. Even weirder each update is giving MORE content instead of less, I simply don't get it.
Last update we got a visual pet that's going to pick up gold on the next update, two new huge maps,a new crafting system and a big batch of legendaries.
Next update we will get yet ANOTHER pet, at least 3 new maps, set dungeons and more legendaries.
For me it makes no sense, the game started mediocre, got shitted by the AH, became mediocre again on RoS and now it's relatively good.

Yeah d2 sound was pretty amazing. I haven't played in awhile but I thought the latest patch made it easy as shit to get ancient legendaries now. I just made a bunch of bows and used the cube and got a few kriders. I re rolled the kriders to get an ancient one. All you need are crafting mats and getting one should be cake

That's Blizzard for you. There's a reason why everyone loves them. They know that you have to spend money to promote yourself. It's not just a "blizzard loves you and gives you free shit" thing,though. Updating Diablo 3 won't make that game generate more money, but the players will remember that and will be more likely to pay for their next game /expansion /subscription whatever. And it works. The Starcraft 2 community is begging for microtransactions, if they release an expansion for Diablo 3, most of the players will buy it, people still preorder Legion, even after Warlords of Shits, Hearthstone is a gold mine, HotS still exists only because Blizzard made it, and everyone was in love with Overwatch even before they showed anything because OMG NEW BLIZZARD GAME
