If you were a dev, how would you make a game? I don't think I'd make a good vidya dev because I lack professionalism and leadership.
What does it take to become a game developer?
I have no work ethic or critical thinking ability, so burning through money and constant delays would probably be my way of developing games.

constant delays sounds like a lack of motivation or something like that
>first step
hire someone who knows how to develop vidya
>second step
hire myself as ideas guy

doesn't it take an idea guy to add for world buidling in a game because it might be too much for one guy to work alone on a game.

no, usually all that is done by the creative director/s or writers
I made a simple racing game similar to old arcade racers, its pretty basic, but its also the problem that it offers nothing new so I will have to make up some game mechanic that makes it stick out more and more interesting.

are you taking suggestions?

Yeah, sure go ahead.

try and make actual bossfights more than just "be faster"
damage through collisions/weapons etc. vehicle combat is very underrepresented

Not him but (OP) I'd take suggestions for what I posted in the first post.

Yeah I have some shooter elements and boss fights and what you have mentioned, but it still seems pretty basic.
she needs a name, suggestions?
Freelancer anon is the basic starting job.

A "switching" mechanics where you can hop into a different version of the track that is much more difficult but also much faster.
Ie: take the "normal world" safe route or go to the "alternate world" that allows much higher speed but is both more dangerous (hazard, weapons, powerups, etc) and the physics change slightly?
