you know leveling as disc is actually the fastest way to level up until around 26-30 or so. spec wand and wand shit down heal yourself in between. your mana never runs out. its hilarious in pvp, you can basically 2v1 guys around your level if they dont save the cc for your heals.

Also there was enough "feral" gear in raids, its just that even with that gear there was no point in taking a feral to a raid over a rogue for dps. taking a feral tank over a warrior was incredibly situational. but druids were always wanted for their healing/buff spells and combat rezzes.
Every class was really only wanted in raids for what they excelled at. If you dont like that feature then go play retail where the philosophy is "bring the player not the class" and every class can do every buff of every other class or fill any role they can spec into just as good as any other class and hybrids are basically 3 or even 4 classes in one because blizzard caved to your crying.

I literally never did this. In fact during TBC I was considered, for lack of better wording, a pug hero because the only requirement I had for my groups, as a paladin tank, was that DPS out DPS me: That is literally what I spammed, "LFM for H Bot, must be able to out DPS tank." No CC = No problem. As a result, I tended to go with a lot of warlocks, rogues and warriors, the undesirable classes. In actuality, making people talk for LFG did create a community as I often went with the same group of ten or so people.

Seriously, I could not begin to describe how fucking wrong you are. Once Def capped and block capped. All I needed to worry about was mana and health. All my dps came from my holy skills which was all reaction based from block. You're talking out of your ass. All the tanks had their niches. Warriors could take crushing blows and had the best single target tanking mechanics. Paladin were basically the opposite and excelled at physical damage reduction because of blocks and holy shield. I can't remember if they were able to block crushing blows to mitigate damage tho. Druids were high AC tanks that could do a little bit of both.

Crushing blows are when a mob hits you and has a chance to do more damage than a normal hit, but not as much as a crit. If all defenses are penetrated -- that is, it doesn't miss, doesn't get dodged, doesn't get parried, doesn't get blocked -- the attack then rolls for normal, crush or crit. Warriors could get crushed too if their shield block was depleted.

Enemies who get spell classes interrupted won't start to run towards you to attack UNLESS you move within their melee deadzone. Which makes it very hard to pull magic users. They will move to separate magic classes though.
I have always come into flight paths a meter or so off the ground as well. Walking off fixes it but it's still a bug.
There are others I have probably forgot to mention. The server is good. But it's not but-free.

It's only fun in WoW when I'm leveled geared which is why I quit WoW. When I had to repeat that shitty grind 6+ times to get to the small amount of content specifically designed to be more than mash your rotation until the mobs die. There are games that take measures to make leveling tolerable: between most leveling dungeons being shit, spending entire stretches of levels in areas I hate like STV, and twinking being so easy and rampant in WZs, what was there to like about leveling in that game? The reason they added instant 90 is because people are tired of going through content over and over again dude.
If you hadn't noticed, they redid all the vanilla areas in cataclysm, and even then the world was still vacant as fuck because of the revamped LFG.
The game is a literal waiting simulator now, and it's gross, it ruined exploration and world PvP.
Sure the game wasn't perfect, but it had style, and there were ways to work around bullshit like twinks (like grouping up with other players, you found while EXPLORING.)
