I love Bloodborne and all but let's be real- the soundtrack is nothing special.
Bloodborne's music is incredibly generic and samey. I don't understand the love it gets, the same can be said for games like Nier which has such an overrated, not bad, but extremely overrated soundtrack.
Bloodborne though, everything is the same generic orchestral shit we've heard thousands of times over, it has no style and isn't unique in any way. It gets old really fast. I'm saying this as someone who absolutely loves the game, but fuck you people circle jerk around such generic music I just don't understand it. At least it's better than Dark Soul's music I guess.
Honestly though, I cannot think of any soundtracks that truly stand out to me this year. There was a lot of good music, like Ori, but nothing really stood out.
