There's very little that can stop Nihilus, he's more like a force of nature than a man, it's the equivalent of trying to kill a black hole. The Exile was literally the only thing in the galaxy capable of killing Nihilus besides the True Sith, and that's because the Exile was a kind of vacuum himself, and even then Nihilus has the usual retinue of powers held by a Sith Lord.
