The reason it's so strong isn't because of it's stats but because it's actually consistent. Skill just isn't rewarded with rifles.
And it's not just because of the rng. The spastic movement animations, the tiny awkward hitboxes and the shit ass map design all contribute.
Balancing CT sided maps by giving the Ts a protected part of the site to plant in is just a fantastic idea. Now half of all bomb plants happen without the Ts actually controlling site, so instead of take/retake you get all hell breaking loose when the smokes fade.

There's a lot of issues with CSGO, mostly because of how out of touch with the competitive side of the game Valve seems to be at times. Several issues has been part of the game since its launch and still unfixed:

Source Engine "Shitboxes" have been a joke since their onset, hopefully Source 2 will fix it, but fuck if it isn't extremely irritating.
Game also has a weird issue where it'll freeze up/stutter for around a second every so often, it's done this across 2 different builds with 100% different components. It happens in any source games, so I assume it's some issue specific to the engine. Doesn't happen in other games.
Am I fairly shit at the game? Sure, but real guns don't fire out in a 45 degree (or greater) cone coming out of the barrel. It's fucking ridiculous, not even movement while firing, automatic or non, would do that.
