I don't like Skyward Sword because of the way the wii ruined the awesome artstylr with its blurry shit hardware and waggle.
Remake it with better graphics and a pro controller or gamepad and its great.

I think it is just an issue with zelda games being so good.
A good game comes out. Then for half a decade people sit around hyping the next one.

I've outgrown Zelda.
I loved Oot and then I may have loved MM even more. This convinced me that I loved the Zelda franchise, but I've slowly learned that that is untrue.
What I loved about them is that for their time they were at the cutting edge of creating a living breathing world with believable inhabitants. The townspeople are sad, sympathetic creatures with daily routines and personal flaws. The gameplay was great but the real magic was how the game fooled me into thinking these were real people with feelings.
Unfortunately, pushing this boundary is no longer something that Zelda attempts to do and it took me a while to figure out that this was why I didn't like the subsequent Zelda games as much, even though I couldn't discern anything wrong with them.
All that said, I feel a strange hostility towards Skyward Sword. I can't understand what all those reviewers see in that game. It distills Zelda down to dungeon crawling and using your gadgets, so maybe that's what I hate about it? Seems perverse since those things are supposed to be Zelda's strong points.

Out of all those games I see up there, TP is probably the only one that didn't try to do something unique with the formula (and I guess the oracle games since they're so similar to eachother).
