But you see anon, books no longer have the same meaning to us as a culture, especially not to the younger generations. In an age where more and more schools are utilizing computers and personal tablets in order to teach students, the usage of books is decreasing. The digital medium is much more familiar to many people nowadays than print, so it is by no means an odd thing to say that something digital is the book of their time.
