How long has it been on anon? That's not very good for it
I use my console browser to scroll /v/.
I'm punishing Bloodborne by letting it sit for a couple hours

I haven't turned a console on since Dragon's Crown came out because there hasn't been any console games worth playing since then.

20 years
If I have a game running in the background while browsing /v/ does that shorten the life of my pc?? Mom says I'm not allowed a new computer for five years so I can't break this one.
I left my Vita on for 2 weeks without playing it and came back to it at 75% charged.

Yes. A PC only works for so many hours and if you have a game running for 1 hour and a web browser running for 1 hour, that takes 2 hours off even if you're only using one.

But what if I minimize the game window? Isn't that the same as exiting the game only it's faster to start again??

Sounds like that guy might be winding you up, but if it's still using the CPU or GPU while minimized then it's generating more heat than necessary, which is shortening your hardware's lifespan to some extent. Especially if you don't apply thermal paste regularly.
why would anyone on /v/ own a console
they already got a pc

Because not everyone is poor, platform warrior.
