As someone who's completed this game 6 times and about to start a playthrough here's some major fucking things to take into consideration unless you want to get shat on in later levels.

14. Expect blasters and pistols to become useless after level 11 or whenever you become a Jedi. The game has a horrible battle system to where the AI will just rush you with melees and you'll die within 3 hits.

17. You can never have too many medpacs.

Jedi Consular is the best class in the game, you have the highest mana pool of the three classes so you can spam AoE skills and end fights in seconds
Scoundrel gives you the most options and actually lets you MAKE a character, unlike Solider where you can just flurry your way through everything like a spastic who ate too much sugar.
And how the fuck is poison ever an issue? I can understand getting raped by stuns that last way too long and all you can do is watch your party drop one by one, but fucking poison?

Here you go OP, I'll fix his broken post for you.
1. Do not waste your points on Security EVER, just bash everything. Same goes for Stealth, it's useless unless you specifically build around it and even then it's weak. For skills, follow this;
>Priority 1 (depends on your build): Repair, Persuade, Treat Injury
>Priority 2 (dumpstats): Computer Use, Awareness, Demolitions
>Priority 3 (never ever): Security, Stealth
You need high repair to upgrade HK-47 and unlock all of his dialogue. If you don't plan on using him, drop Repair to priority 3.
2. Pick whatever opening class you like, they're all broken in comparison to the enemies because the game is really easy.
3. Taris is good the first time round and eases you into the game. Every playthrough after, yeah, go ahead and grab the Skip Taris mod.
4. Consular is the most overpowered class in the game which can make you invincible in every way through buffs (Light Side) or clear rooms with Force Storm the instant combat starts (Dark Side). But if you play either of the other Jedi, you won't miss out. They're ALL overpowered as shit.
5. All the waifus in this game are shit. Don't bother getting attached.
6. Here's some ACTUALLY helpful advice; If you finish the duel ring on Taris, DON'T collect your reward for beating Twitch. If you collect the reward AFTER beating Bendak, a glitch gives you two of Bendak's Blaster instead of one. Your ranged party member just became a god of death.

Stability is improved across the board, because back in June or so KOTOR 2 got a big patch that introduced widescreen, support for modern operating systems, Steam Workshop etc. Even with TSLRC, KOTOR 2 runs a lot better on modern systems than the first. I started it for the first time the other day and I don't like it. Got as far as leaving Taris. All the dungeons are boring hallway mazes with no verticality, the dialogue is awkward and the plot is absolutely retarded.

Is it me or Bastila is one of the worst companions? She sucks at fighting as she misses most of her attacks but also she isn't that good of a support character as Jolee is a lot better as a healer/buffer.

There seems to be a few bugs surrounding scripted scenes like this, usually duped items. I used to get another, better version of Carth's blaster after this scene. You can also get a duped sword depending on which weapon you give Trask before he runs off to fight Darth Bandon

Jedi in general are fragile due to reliance on robes if you want to use their force powers. You either give her armor proficiency feats so she can tank better or acknowledge she'll be a glass cannon if you give her the standard "dual-wield+flurry+speed" combo. Helps if you get Jolee right away and build him as a pure team buffer and healer.

Those Dark Jedi in the temple were nig as fuck. It was annoying as shit to get close to killing one, then they group incap for literally 15 seconds at a time, fully heal, and kill you.

Yavin has some good stuff, but I'd recommend saving at least 25k by the end of your 4th planet so that you can get one of the crystals sold there at that point.
Also order of planets doesn't matter too much (apart from Malak's apprentice dropping his lightsaber if Manaan's your 3rd star map apparently), so don't worry about that. Go for Tatooine next I guess, I like to save Korriban for last due to it being my favourite
