Please state what you think is broken about Melee. Because balance-wise, it's no different from smash 4. Actually Fox lost more tournaments than Sm4sh Sheik has this year. I would say that WFT just wasn't trying to go over Ness, but even if he had he would have certainly been hit by Ness' fair which is legitimately broken as fuck.

I swear, me and the Smash community are playing two different games
Mac is my guy. I just love his movement. He's the only character in the cast that gives me what I want when I ask for it. He's fast and explosive, and I never feel like its the characters fault when I lose. He's just so god damn fun to play as. All of his movements are so fluid and the animations are so well done on his smash attacks. Every win is satisfying and you eventually learn that your health percentage doesn't matter, since you can die just as easily at 0% as you can at 120%. You learn to play extremely tight and he's one of the only characters that my ability to play footsies actually helps with.
The start up frames on all my attacks is longer than most characters' entire attacks. It feels like I have to see the future to land every attack. It's fucking satisfying.

He's fun as fuck. Keeping people in the air with up airs and finishing them with an up special is the most satisfying shit. Also I'm always afraid of fucking up and killing myself if I go offstage with characters who don't have multiple jumps.

Ness is my main but I have been enjoying the hell out of Mega Man as of late. Knowing how and when to use all of his moves and using projectiles to create setups is just so satisfying.
Also he probably has the second-best spike in the game next to Ganondorf. I caught a Fox Illusion with it yesterday and the guy just stood on the new stock platform trying to figure out what had just happened.

Donkey Kong can seriously wreck shields after the patch. Two unpunishable d-tilts and an f-smash and the shield is history. It fucks up people doing regular get-ups, which is usually the safest option.

There isn't an input dealy, it's just that the game won't keep your previous input and throw it in for you. If you want to make a move you gotta imput it at the right time not 10 frames before you could actually perform it
