Keyboard is cancer for fighting games to me. You should be able to find a cheap 360 stick compatible for PC.
Combos in Skullgirls are long but generally easy to execute because the cancel widows are huge and they pretty much always flow from light to medium to heavy. It has a good tutorial that teaches you some fighting game fundamentals.

Well a reset isn't touch of death is it. Besides you can't get reset to death due to green bar. And there's plenty of ways to deal with vortex like rolling, normal tech, fast tech, push block guard cancel, absolute block, assists and alpha counters and you know, blocking. Not that you knew any of that shit was in the game nor did you utilize them.
If you watch high level play the match goes back to neutral a lot and damage scaling is mostly fair. It takes a fair amount of confirms for your team to die.

I heard somewhere that the direction they went with the characters was going for very sexualized designs with something about them that would turn a person off, like how Fortune has a very tight figure but can fall apart into chunks, or how Filia's hair is a parasite.
