Will GT devs abandon their concept to have more and more old content with this installment? It's amazing how they pulled off three games, from gt4 to gt6, with basically identical car handling. Every car in GT drives the same as long as horsepower, tyres and drive distribution is same - that's fucking terrible.

I was. Until i realized that they wont make g27 ps4 compatible. I'm not dishing out another $400 on g29 because sony wants me to bend over. I was holding off on the ps4 purchase for this game. The monthly fee i can eventually get over, but now im in complete "fuck sony" mode due to ps4 g27 incompatibility. I will just stick with asseto corsa.

I love GT back during 2-3 when I was younger, then I never followed it when it changed platform (PS3>PS4).

Having expectations for a Ridge Racer game was a mistake in the first place.
The only good good Ridge Racer games:
1 & Revolution for nostalgia and early 3D breakthrough
Rage Racer & Type 4 are legit fantastic games
Ridge Racer (PSP) & Ridge Racer 2 (PSP) as a compilation of the series' greatest hits
I'll include Rave Racer too if you count arcade cab games that no one here has played.

Not counting the time for many many meetings, design team. Once a car is designed in GTA5 it takes the team over 1 week to model and build a functional car. And the DLC team is small.
Even the 3 Forza teams didn't take that long. The long process is to eliminate cars no one wants or would not be used. And look how much work was put into the design during the 360 days. PS3 had literally cars pulled from PS1 and PS2 games barely even upcaled right.
PD took over 1 month per car because the OCD dev team would often check people's work even scrap what they are doing and make them start over. Even Yamauchi had issues with giving cars damage models, brake fade, overheating. And all kinds of real world normal road cars go through when raced around a track.

Nobody realizes this but besides padding the roster to 1000+, another reason for the inclusion of standard cars is connectivity with your PSP garage.

There's some other issues, but really I think Polyphony's gotten way too comfortable with this. Kinda wish Sony would have them lay off the GT for a bit and make a new game that has absolutely nothing to do with cars.

After Horizons and Infinity they had no interest in doing it. They did have a 200k petition running while the PS3 was in its prime. They said they would think about it. Then they gave us Infinity which I find is a disaster to the AC name. Even horizons multiplayer was more fun than they pay to win nonsense.

It actually had a decent selection of American cars, even my first car,Dodge Avenger
Add in some Fox body mustangs, maybe a Fiero, 90's Thunderbird, ect... Being back stuff like the Cougar, add in Pontiacs for crying out loud... muh sexy Grand Prix. if they have a bazillion random variations of skylines and evos, surely they could have some solid choices of American cars. Hell im sure the same goes for Euro cars too, lots get left by the wayside.
[spoilers]I tinkered with the Avenger to set the ratios to be the same as the automatic's, then only used the manual option to just run through the gears instead of all five. i messed with the weight reduction and HO gains to get as close to my real 0-60 and 1/4 mile times as possible[/spoilers]
