>Trusting Unknown Worlds after what they did with Natural Selection 2

I can tell you the horror stories of how poorly managed that game was.
>>
If you like exploration and scuba diving, sure.
>>
i like it and find it fun, but also terrifying since i had the deep sea so its basically a horror game to me

The concept art for the game is pretty cool, too.

Knock Knock.

Hugh's there?
>>
>>322406971
Really well done but needs a lot more content and respawning resources. Also keep in mind no multiplayer plans at the moment.
>>
>>322407821
Looks awesome other than the fact that it will be almost empty inside since there's jack all for interior items to build. Hopefully they fix that.

>Unique posters not increasing

Hugh this is getting embarrassing. You're not going to fool anyone after what you did. Your entire studio is full of liars and frauds like you.

Got one for ya right here, faggot.
>>
>buy this game
>phobia of the ocean/deep water/open sea

why did I bother
>>
I bought it a few days ago, played for 2 hours, and refunded. It's really cool but needs a lot more content and multiplayer. If it gets those things for the full release, then I'll buy it again because I love the look of it and the premise. Right now though, if just felt kind of boring and pointless.
>>
>>322409157
Yes that was me. I wasn't trying to hide it, I just didn't take a close look at that picture originally. Why does it matter?
>>
>>322409634
Wait who is Hugh? Fuck I need sleep. I meant one person (me) made 2 posts.
>>
>Barely any enemies
>>
It's basically underwater minecraft.
>>
>>322406971
It's got the look and it's a good concept.

It'll never have enough in it, though. Survival games w/ crafting just don't have staying power. Once you've seen all there is to build, that's it. Game over. No reason to carry on.

Unless you intend to cover the entire world in constructs.
>>
>>322408391
That's far better than the actual game.

I bought it a while ago, I enjoy it.
I wouldn't recommend it vanilla though, I use it with my Oculus

Is this better than Stranded Deep?
>>
>>322411181
more life forms
>>
>>322412271
They're already gonna add the spine eel, sea treader, rock puncher, crab squid, lava lizard, warper, cute fish, sea dragon, and the emperor.

What more do you want?
>>
>>322411351
Yes, lacking in things to do, but the Stranded Deep devs have utterly ruined that game in recent updates.
>>
>>322412672
>gonna add

exactly

Subnautica needs more to actually do beyond just crafting shit and looking at the cool environment and creatures. The only real survival you need to do is gather up enough fish to eat, which you'll need to do constantly because hunger and thirst go down too quickly. Building the underwater base is pointless, you can't put anything in it so it's just to look at. Needs a purpose, exploring is fun but can't carry the whole game for longer than an hour or two.
>>
>>322409157
What happened? I put in a couple hundred hours into ns2 and dont remember any sort of outrage.
>>
>>322406971
I swore off these early access survival games ever since the earliest days of Rust, but finally broke my rule for this one.

Gameplay wise, there's nothing terribly unique about this game, and I feel that the actual survival is a bit on the easy side which leads players to the 'fuck off and try to build something lolepick' side of things.

But overall, I really enjoy it, largely because of the atmosphere. The game is absolutely beautiful and I just really love scuba diving and ocean exploration so it's a good game for me. If you're not into the whole underwater appeal, there's probably not much to distinguish this between all the other countless survival games, however. Still, it would be an amazing game to play VR, I think.
>>
I hope they learn from dont starve. That game does survival so fucking well. Everything has 1 ore more uses. Everything reacts. Tons of exploration and trying to figure shit out.
>>
>>322406971
I pirated it and actually liked it. Not sure what build I played but it was actually pretty relaxing game. Got bored of it after a day though.
>>
Should I pirate or buy?
>>
Just another empty early access survival game that the devs will probably never finish because progress is glacially slow.
>>
>>322413953
The answer is always pirate, but it if you like it, buy it.
