shiny pokemon are not treated as a different pokemon, on the other hand Psychemon is a Gabumon recolor but it has a different tree evolution, stats and such and is part of the +1k digimon list, shiny pokemon don't belong in the official pokemon list, otherwise there would be 1500 pokemon instead of 750-ish
