Hi /v/, what're you playing tonight?fuck me, Dark Souls is frustrating
Just beat FFV. Going to start FFVI soon
>>322376428
How many of them do you think you'll complete this year, anon?
>>322376651
Well, I'm shooting for FFX, then Tactics and CC. Hopefully all by the end of this year.
>>322376158
Backlog stuff. Some sidescrollers and trying out the Redux versions of Metro.
>>322376158
Nuclear Throne
Justpirated itand so far I'm having a lot of fun.
>>322376428
VI is my favorite, the SNES and PS1 FF games are just so good. Not a huge fan of X but XII is really good too.
>>322377290
It's my first time going through the series. The only one I played before was CC, but never finished it. I'll keep XII in mind
>>322377031Good luck, anon.
>>322377102
People're saying the Redux versions fuck with the lighting or something, how're you finding it?
>>322377216
What's the game about? Heard the name, never read anything about Nuclear Throne.
I'm playing Kingdom Hearts 2.5. Nostalgia I'd pretty depressing
>>322378097
>I'd pretty depressingHas something bad happened, anon?
I'm waiting for Wonderful 101 to download right now.
>>322377501
Seems pretty good so far. Playing with a 980ti.
>>322376158
Ultima IV for NES. I heard that PC version is somehow better to play, but I don't know.
I picked up a few star wars games from the steam sale.
I want a mindless game to play. I've been playing too many RPGs recently, and I've plateaued in CS:GO.
I might play The Force Unleashed. I've heard its lore-raping mindless fun.
>>322378274
Have fun with it!
>>322378305
Good to know, have you played the original versions?
>>322378607
Could always give it a spin if you haven't.
>>322378734
>I want a mindless game to play
Play TF2.
Dark Souls 2.
I pray for a death that never comes.
>>322378814
>Have you played the original versions?
Yup. Didn't touch any DLC though. Going to see if I can make it through Ranger mode.
>>322377501
Nuclear Throne is just a randomly generated twin stick shooter with unlockable characters with special abilities.
It's aight but Isaac is better.
Finishing up P3 FES
Fuck that little piece of shit Ken. "Did nothing wrong", my ass.
>>322378960Good luck.
>>322379039
Best of luck with it, put down the game before ever trying it.
>>322379178
Huh, neat. I have Isaac, but something for when Isaac gets dull might be fun.
>>322379214
Is this your first Persona game?
>>322379690
>Is this your first Persona game?
Nope, second but I put it off due to playing other games. Now I'm aiming to finish the journey, the answer, and Catherine since I've put them aside for all of 2015.
>>322380212
Ah, fair enough. How're you liking the series so far?
silent hunter 3 and i'm suffering. Aircraft keep circling me and wont leave me the fuck alone. if im stationary and submerged they will still find my exact position and cricle and then go home. Also wind 15 m/s, fog heavy 24 fucking 7.
>>322376158
i honestly dont know i got bloodborne's platinum and have really nothing now
>>322381585
That sounds like a pain right up the ass.
>>322381760
Played the other Souls games?
>>322378814
>Could always give it a spin if you haven't.
Yeah, I'll probably do it.
I should get used to old RPGs, though.
Either Cities:Skyline, Insurgency, Risk of Rain, Dark Souls or Titan Quest.
Not sure yet.
>>322384123
What kind of RPGs are you thinking? Baldur's Gate?
>>322384482
Nice selection. I'm giving Dark Souls a spin now.
Playing some comfy Heroes of Might and Magic III at the moment. Damn this is a good game.
http://strawpoll.me/6423969
>>322384781
Dark Souls is probably what I'll end up doing. Not sure if I want to start a new game or go through NG+
>>322385056
I don't know if everyone forgot about it or we just don't count it because of early access but KSP was my 2015 GOTY.
>>322385056
Why not just keep playing through the campaigns?
>>322385082
First time playing on my end. Frustrating, but having some whiskey handy helps.
>>322376158
talking about frustrating the only boss left for me is the ivory king
I was going to livestream Kero Blaster for some friends. Deleted my completed Zangyou save file and everything.
And then they bailed out.
Playing some dying light right now. Comfy when you are just hoping from roof to roof, little bit scary when you run from volatiles.
>>322386135There's a broadcast group on Steam if you want to stream it for strangers?
>>322376158
I'm on the same train as you, OP.
But I'm finding it very fun nonetheless. Currently at the Capra Demon.
Farming prime parts in the void with friends on warframe
>>322386359
Steam's Broadcast thing doesn't work with Kero blaster 75% of the time. I don't stream with Mic on anyways, so nobody would want to watch.
>>322376158
I'm playing Fire Emblem Awakening at work.
>>322386281
Does it feel immersive? That's always been my main gripe with a lot of first person games.
>>322386578
Some people do watch the text-only streams, but suit yourself.I get it.
>>322386503
Yeah, it's fun. Going in blind is doubly so - but frustrating.
>>322386801
I'm being half-blind. Took my first glance at a guide today, and don't really regret it, but I'll try to not do it so often.
I've been using guides for bosses too but I think I'll stop it. But it's fun anyways, specially because even with guides most bosses still need a good amount of skill.
Triforce heroes
>>322384781
>What kind of RPGs are you thinking?
You mean? I didn't understand your question?
>>322376158
KoTOR 2
>>322376158
Played Tales of Zestiria for a few hours today. I'm at a point where I have a choice between exploring a few more areas or keep going with the story quest so I'm taking a break.
Currently wondering if I should go play some SOMA or maybe do something else before continuing with ToZ.
>>322387481
Is it good? I'm considering getting it in the future.
>>322387762
Zestiria?
I'm not a fan of Tales of games so I can't really compare it with the others. I'm currently enjoying it though, the combat is fun, there are some issues with the camera orientation but nothing game breaking. The port is really well done but you need to use a fanmade mod to unlock 60FPS. Story is nothing special but characters are very enjoyable and memorable.
Maybe it's a bit overpriced but I'm not regretting buying it atm.
>>322387950
Yeah, Zestria. I've been loking for a good JRPG. For now I'm thinking on grabbing Valkyria Chronicles to fill the void, but Zestria seemed interesting.
Thanks for the insight, anon. Will grab it when the price drops.
>>322387136
Ah, sorry about that - brain fart. I read your post as saying you were looking for older RPGs.
For bosses that have some kind of gimmick or special mechanic, I can understand going to the guides. I probably will, too.
>>322376158
Gonna see how bad the steam controller feels on das1.
>tfw steam controller is like using a bad mousepad.
I'm contemplating putting in time on XCX, Dark Souls, Dark Arisen or Disgaea 4 Vita. I may pop into the Smash 4 /v/eekend tourney to get my shit slapped later.
>>322376158
Trying to beat the throne in Nuclear Throne but it's a pain in the ass.
I am thinking about forcing myself through Final Fantasy XIII again, I did not want to keep on grinding on that open world part but it looks like most of the secret bosses are way too OP for my level.
After that I plan on playing the Souls games, from Demon's Souls to Bloodborne.
>>322390258
Good luck - keep trying, anon.
>>322391506
All of them?Going through NG+?
Good luck!
>>322376158
Was playing some dark souls 2.
Working on my magic crusader char.
>>322392134
New game only, I played a bit of Demon's Souls and Bloodborne but never finished any of them.
Last week I was showing a friend Bloodborne and when I got back from the kitchen the fucker had killed all the people I had saved in the Cathedral, what a motherfucker.
>>322388865
Everything happens, no need to worry.
I feel a pain in my body, I failed to get a stone of... Honesty? I was to dumb to order a touching of the stone to my main hero. It seems I need to check an actual manual, where I went wrong, but it seems I just haven't mastered the virtue yet. Well, pic strongly related.
Trying to 100% Super Mario 3D World
Fuck those last two levels.
>>322389509
Hacking terraria to bits
>>322393713
Sounds like a motherfucker. Did you start over?
>>322394453
Trial and error seems to be the name of the game in older RPGs.
>>322394484
Good luck!
>>322386801
Immersive to a point. When you start drop kicking zombies off roofs and slashing people in half, it gets balls to the wall nuts.
>>322376158
Playing Ni No Kuni while I idle in MGS V for invasions.
>>322395325
I didn't, I will probably just drop it for now and try focusing on the older Souls games first, I got way too many stuff in my backlog.
>>322396062
How's Demon's Souls?
>>322395325
>Trial and error seems to be the name of the game in older RPGs.
Kinda that.
Also I tried today to play some more Might and Magic III for Genesis, but it has such slowly responding buttons, I couldn't play it more.
Do you like old consoles? Sometimes I think it would be interesting if some big developer (not only Chinese) made a NES game now. But this is going to never happen, because making the most money is the goal for every developer, and I doubt some modern coders would program in actual 6502 codes. Times are better now, it's a lot easier to program today.
>>322396969
I think it is harder than Bloodborne, it also does not have its polishing either but it is good, I wanted to see a PS4 remaster.
>>322386578
>don't stream with mic on
>people wouldn't want to watch
You'd be surprised. I'd rather watch someone play a game than have them screaming retardation in my ears.
>>322397581
>Do you like old consoles?
I like a lot of the games released for them. Too young to have gotten used to the consoles themselves, though.
>>322397659
Is the control scheme similar? Also, sorry if I'm slow responding - doing active listening therapy for a stranger.
Probably this. This game has made me want to dredge up all of the lionfish out of the ocean and set those niggers on fire.
None of my buddies are in town for board game night, so playing EU4.
Fuck you france.
>>322398290
Alright, I went through the dungeon once more and ordered to touch stones to Ïolo, he has the biggest HP in the party. Something happened, but I didn't understand, what actually was needed to happen. So, I went out and sailed to the town.
I'm already tired enough, so I go to sleep. Have a good night, OP.
>>322400268
Have you dismantled the BBB yet?
>>322400349
Good night, anon.
