Happens in Lunar Dragon Song word for word. The final cutscene was a complete mess.
Happens to a lesser extend in Brave Fencer Musashi when you never fight any of the enemy generals or their leader. You never deal with any of them via cutscene either, they sort of just vanish or get themselves killed It. Unlike Dragon Song, is still is a good game though.
