Not the worst game ever, and it definitely has some charm, but it never caught my attention.
Fucking Bomberman 64 and Bomberman Hero are timeless and FUCK they don't emulate well.
Hero could have a remake and would still be fun as fuck in new gen.

It's pretty amazing though, but the game didn't got amazing reviews when it came out because it was 2D and it was the time when everyone wanted three deee.
Playing it without any expectations when it came out blew me away, the game is mad fun and I wasn't honestly expecting anything special, now it's one of my favorites.

Great choice, GGA is definitely one of the best and one of my overall favorite games of 5th gen, same with Mystical Ninja starring Goemon.
Goemon's Great Adventure might be my 2nd favorite on the system, but pic related is my no. 1 favorite.

I really like Yoshi's Story. I had the most fun with that game as a kid. Going back as an adult, though, the only games I can really get into on the N64 are Paper Mario, Smash with friends, SM64, and the Zelda games. Pokemon Stadium/Snap, DK64, Banjo, Goldeneye, and the other games I have in my library all feel like crap. Admittedly, I haven't played some of the more niche stuff posted in this thread.

I cant name it, but i had lots of fun. It was some kind of futuristic racer with weapons and power-ups, that also had an arena mode. Splitscreen died far too young. There should be much more splitscreen games

I've never been able to point to a single favorite because every N64 game had weaknesses. Mario 64 was probably the best crafted game, but there was more you could do with the worlds. Ran smooth as butter though. Banjo-Kazooie did a lot of stuff, but was painfully slow. Ocarina of Time is strongest when Link is a kid, but replaying it, that part is too short. Diddy Kong Racing is great, but that fucking octopus and having to do the tracks over and over before you can access new ones. Having to replay levels in order to move on until you were sick to death of them ruined replay value. It's what I think of when I hear "N64".
I enjoyed all these games, but they had thorns that kept you from enjoying them as much as you could have.
