arx fatalis is great and probably one of the more overlooked relatively modern rpgs. ability to organically craft was amazing and I liked the runes for spellcasting, fuck the haters.

I feel that you miss out on a lot of content if you don't pickpocket/open locks, the crafting system is pretty comfy, especially if you mod the game, and crawling through a DUNGEON CRAWLER, completely unseen by foes then toasting on some meat in a corner somewhere is maximum comfy.

Are the traps on the lower levels even removable? I'm pretty sure they're scripted to kill you, just like the lever in the mummy tunnels. I remember I wasn't able to remove them on two different playthroughs, had my mage up there in the triple digits range with magic and a pretty high stat thief, couldn't get it off, tried putting a shit ton of res and still died to them.
